USAToday/Gallup: Obama falls to lowest approval rating for a modern elected president in December of their first year in office

The latest USA Today/Gallop poll of 1,025 adult has Obama at 49% approval and 46% disapproval:

As the year comes to a close, he’s still in positive territory, but not by much. The latest survey, taken Friday through Sunday, puts the president’s approval at 49%-46%. That is Obama’s narrowest margin of the year, with his approval matching his low point in early October and his disapproval matching his high point later that month.

This compares with the much maligned (mostly by liberal-progressive Democrats) former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who’s approval is at 44%.

Rasmussen has Obama’s approval by likely voters at 46% with 53% disapproving. Rasmussen’s polling has public opposition to the health care plan working its way through Congress remains stable at Fifty-six percent (56%), with just 40% in favor of it (The RCP average shows a 15 point margin of disapproval with 53 in favor and 38 against). Given that Obama and the Democrats in Congress intend to ram through the bill, despite public disapproval (with the same situation applying to cap and trade), Obama’s approval rating (and that of many Democrats in Congress) can be expected to continue to sink further.

And meanwhile, Obama has just finished ranting on television against alls opponents of ObamaCare, and literally repeated practically every single proven Democratic lie told to date.
