‘Each day yet another new outrage about the Obama administration comes to light,’ and now this…

As Mathew Vadum quips, every new day a new outrage about the Obama administration comes to light, and each new outrage sounds like fiction. Who could dream up this stuff?
Now we learn that the National Legal and Policy Center has “uncovered a plan by the White House New Media operation to hire a technology vendor to conduct a massive, secret effort to harvest personal information on millions of Americans from social networking websites.”The Obama administration plans to capture comments, tag lines, emails, audio, and video on websites including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr and others.
As noted at the National Legal and Policy Center link, this is the third controversy involving the White House internet operations in less than a month. Add to this the controversy over Sen. Jay Rockefeller’s (D - W. Virginia) bill to give Obama the authority to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called (yet losely defined) cybersecurity emergency, it appears that Obama and the Democrats have their sights set on destroying Americans’ privacy and freedom of speech.
